“I am Inuk, a Beneficiary of Nunatsiavut. I was fortunate to be brought up in a home with traditional practices, foods, and crafts. Around me, I could see some of the effects of residential schools on families. Now, as an artist/ maker, I want to give back to help raise awareness and help support the work of Orange Shirt Society.” - Mel
Every Child Matters (TM) is a trademark of Orange Shirt Society. Used under license.
Our license fee supports Orange Shirt Society and the work they do. We’re also donating a portion of proceeds from each Every Child Matters (TM) item we sell. We’ll be donating to Orange Shirt Society $5.00 from each adult shirt and $2.00 from every youth and baby shirt we sell.
PRE-ORDER INFORMATION:

Image shown is a sample only. We are choosing shirts that are comfortable, soft, available, and in a colour that is the closest match to the Orange Shirt Society orange.
We are making these using a pre-order to minimize waste. Our current license allows us to make 50 shirts at this time. The pre-order listing will be closed when reach 50 shirts pre-ordered.
Not all t-shirt manufacturers offer a suitable orange colour in an inclusive size range. We may use t-shirts from a variety of brands if necessary. We are currently working with a soft, 100% cotton jersey knit with a size range of XS - 4XL in adult sizing, for example.
Shirts will be ready for pick-up / shipping starting September 15. You’ll receive an e-mail when your shirt is ready for pick-up arrangements or shipping.
Pick-up at our home studio in Auburn, NS or at our Kingston Farmers Market tent is free (Thursdays). We can also deliver in the Annapolis Valley (Wolfville - Lawrencetown) for $5 per household.
There is uncertainty around shipping with a Canada Post strike possible in the near future. We will calculate shipping costs with you individually based on where you live, how many shirts are in your order, and what shipping options are available at the time. If Canada Post is available, we’re able to ship individual shirts via lettermail within Canada through Canada Post (no tracking, minimal cost) or via parcel/ courier with tracking (additional cost). You’ll be able to purchase shipping via an additional website listing or e-transfer.
If you have services such as Apple Pay or Google Pay activated in your browser, you may need to choose “More Payment Options” when checking out to view all available shipping options.
